About Us
Caroline has over 15 years of experience working with children, providing contact supervision, mentoring, and respite work in both the private sector and under the care system. Graduating with her Bachelor's Degree in 2008, her first assignment was to provide contact supervision to children in the care system. After gaining invaluable experience, she took a brief detour in her career, only to rediscover her passion for working with children. Caroline began to recognise the need for providing high-quality service to both children and parents as they navigate through these changes. In 2017, she decided to establish Sydney Supervised Contact Workers.
As Caroline contemplated the exact model the company would follow, she chose to start training her sister, Jennifer, who was providing mentoring services for another organisation in 2019. Jennifer approached the role with an open mindset and began providing the children with the sense of security and quality service they deserved.
Both are qualified with a Bachelor of Social Science, with Caroline majoring in Criminology and Jennifer in Psychology. Their degrees in this discipline have equipped them with the knowledge and skills needed to excel as effective supervised contact workers who specialise in making children feel safe and happy.
In 2021, they agreed to establish Sydney Supervised Contact Workers Pty Ltd (Supervised Contact Workers) as a company. Creating a quality service that the industry requires was their main priority, one that focuses on the needs of parents, legal teams, and, most importantly, the children.
As a company, the mission of
Supervised Contact Workers is to:
“Always keep the children safe and happy. We want to provide our clients with the certainty that their child is our main priority. Without any therapeutic work, we are here to observe, objectively and impartially as to what occurred during our time supervising. For their interpretation, our clients are to then be provided a detailed report clearly observing what has occurred without any opinion. As our clients go through these changes, we will make sure to lead them with kindness and always guide them with transparency.”
Over the years we have had the honour to serve numerous families as they go through these circumstances. We are eager to extend our professional supervised services to even more families in need.
Our team truly understands the gravity of these situations, and we bring compassion, empathy and personal attention to every case while making sure we remain objective and impartial. We strive to create an atmosphere that is nurturing and respectful so that every child feels comfortable and safe as they go through their contact visits.
We are affiliates of the Australian Children's Contact Services Association (ACCSA). The ACCSA is a non-profit Association that promotes both the analysis of and the professionalisation of the Children's Contact Services sector in Australia.
